History

My desire to be on 4 wheels all began at the age of 3 (2003)!  My mom and dad bought me a Power Wheels quad, and it’s history from there.

I began racing quads and motorcycles at the age of 4 (2004).  I raced until the age of 6 (2006), racking up an impressive 45 podium finishes.

In 2007 at the age of 7, I was given my first sprint car, a Junior Micro Sprint.  That year I claimed Rookie of the Year honors at Plaza Park Raceway in Visalia, California.  In 2008 I claimed 7 wins.   In2009 I was the Budweiser Grand Prix Champion at Lemoore Raceway and won 7 races!

As I moved into the Restricted 600 Micro Sprint Class in 2010, I once again claimed the Grand Prix Champion honors, Rookie of the Year and won 3 races, not bad for a kid who was only 10!

My 2011 season was very successful and most memorable.  I was crowned King of California and the Tachi Palace Champion!  I’m credited with 7 wins in the Restricted 600 Class, and 1 win in the Stock 600 Class which was only my second Stock 600 race ever!

2012 was an impressive and busy first year on asphalt.  I competed in every event scheduled with the SPEARS SRL-Southwest Tour Legends Division, made as many trips to other tracks that were racing Legends as our schedule allowed, and ran a few dirt races in Northern California.  Unfortunately, there was not an asphalt track in my hometown of Bakersfield, Ca to race at which made traveling a must. My accomplishments over exceeded my expectations, earning 3rd overall in the Young Lions Spring Sizzler Series and 6th overall (out of 40 competitors, Young Lions, Semi-Pros, Pros and Masters with much experience and of all ages), earning a starting position in every feature I entered in.

The 2013 CHAMPIONSHIP  Year!  We received the best news ever when Kern Co Raceway Park was making plans to open for the 2013 season.  My goal to win the Inaugural Championship in the Legends Division here in my hometown was the focus of 2013.  As I won 4 races, earned 5 fast times, several top 5's and the sweetest victory of all, the 2013 Inaugural KCRP INEX Legends Division CHAMPIONSHIP.

2014, my freshman year in a Late Model was STELLAR!  With it only being my third year on asphalt, at the age of 14, my team and I earned ROOKIE OF THE YEAR honors at Kern County Raceway Park.  AND, if that wasn't enough, I also received the UNOH Youth Acheivement Award-NASCAR Whelen Series!  I also earned respect from my older, seasoned, veteran late model drivers who are extremely skilled in driving late models.

And now, here we are in the 2015 racing season.  At the age of 15, I continue to grow gain more skills, respect from my fellow competitors, the drive and love for racing cars.  This season I will be racing two late models., an open late model on Madera Speedway's short track , and the second at Kern County Raceway Park, 1/2 mile high-banked oval.  All the Madera Speedway Open Late Model Races will be televised on MAVTV!  Many thanks go out to my dad, mom, crew, family, sponsors and fans for their continued support for allowing me to live my dream!!!

2015 wrap up...We brought home the 2015 Open Late Model CHAMPIONSHIP at Madera Speedway in only my second year in late models!  Competed in 2 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West races for Jefferson Pitts Racing, earning 2-top 5 finishes, Shasta Speedway and Meridian Speedway.  And, I was the youngest recorded driver to compete in the series to date!  And all this was accomplished before my sixteenth birthday!

2016.  Propelling into 2016 from an amazing 2015 race season, we will be focusing our efforts at Kern County Raceway Park.  In addition to KCRP, we are planning to compete in the BIG money races at Madera Speedway, MAVTV televised.  My team and I will be making a big run for the championship at KCRP.  It will take dedication, persistence, and patience at the fast 5/8 mile paved oval.  And, with a bit of good fortune, I hope to run another NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race too!

2016 wrap up...An "UNDEFEATED" 2016 CHAMPIONSHIP RACE SEASON at KCRP was our reward for all the effort that was given by me and my team.  I never imagined that we would be undefeated with all the talent that the 5/8 fast paved oval has to offer.   I competed in one NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race for JPR, unfortunately, mechanical difficulties ended our night early.  I sold my 1968 Camaro that my dad and I built up to purchase a tour car.  We raced it a few times, as funding held us back from competing in more.  Overall, it was another memorable season.

2017.  An "UNDEFEATED" 2016 CHAMPIONSHIP RACE SEASON at KCRP will rocket us into the 2017 race season.  Our plan will be to run the BIG money MAVTV televised races at Madera Speedway and hope to find enough funding to run as many NASCAR K&N Pro Series West races as possible.  And, if possible, a few Spears SRL SouthWest Touring Series events.  Once again, funding is the key to stepping up in this sport, we will keep digging to get what we need to get the right heads to turn.

2017 update...After racing in the season opener, Round #1 finishing second, then winning Round #2 at Madera Speedway, I consulted with my volunteer team to race the entire season at Madera Speedway.  We were ALL in!  As of 7/29/17, leading the points in the Pro Late Model Division, I received a call from JPR to race for them in Oregon on 8/26/17 in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Division.  In doing so, I will more than likely reliquish my points lead at Madera Speedway.  There will be two more races remaining at Madera, September 23rd and October 7th.  Wish me luck as we make a hard and focused run for the championship.

2017.  Earned the 2017 Pro Late Model Series CHAMPION crown AND won the $10K to win Short Track Shootout at Madera Speedway!  We still have a few races scheduled before the seasons end...both at Kern County Racweway Park, October 28 SRL Touring Series driving for Nick Sivisend, and November 4 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West driving for Jefferson Pitts Racing.  Continued to driver coach up and coming drivers.  I am extremely passionate in teaching these drivers the gentleman form of racing, respecting fellow drivers, equipment, building skill and knowledge of all components that creates a CHAMPION.

2018.  On February 2-3:  wheeled the #15 Nick & Tracy Sivesend/Wilson's Industrial Pump/Vandoorn Racing Development/Wilson's Motorsports/Axalta/Finishmasters hot rod to earn the POLE POSITION at the WINTER SHOWDOWN at Kern Co. Raceway Park!  Held on to a P2 finish in the 300 lap event behind Kyle Busch, finishing ahead of several other NASCAR drivers.  The plan for the season will be to race in as many SPEARS SRL Touring Series races as funding allows.  Nick & Tracy Sivesend have given me this amazing opportunity in their stellar car with their awesome Wilson Motorsports crew for 2018, we can't me more thankful.  We also plan to race at Madera Speedway for the big money races: 5K to win each on March 10 & July 28 AND the 10K to win race on October 6 as defending race winner!
